Multiple Internet Providers Eliminated, Fuel Automation

KXNX had 7 different internet providers on the airfield for FBO hangar tenants, increasing both costs but also in complexity. Fixed Base Tech also added Cameras, tenant guest networks, and a dedicated network for an airfield operator. Fuel tank automation was also achieved with real-time fuel tracking.

Challenge:

KXNX Airfield faced a connectivity conundrum with seven different hangars relying on seven disparate internet providers, causing inefficiencies, increased costs, and inconsistent service quality. Additionally, the airfield aimed to improve overall connectivity, introducing guest Wi-Fi services, providing dedicated connections for specific tenants, and implementing real-time fuel tracking of the fuel farms.

Solution:

In collaboration with KXNX Airfield, Fixed BAse Tech embarked on a comprehensive connectivity overhaul. We consolidated the disparate internet services into a single, high-speed account, eliminating redundancy and reducing costs significantly. A robust Wi-Fi infrastructure was then deployed across the airfield, enhancing guest experiences and providing seamless connectivity for maintenance crews. For a specific airfield tenant, we established a dedicated connection, ensuring uninterrupted and high-speed access critical for their operations. To optimize fuel management, we integrated cutting-edge fuel tracking software, providing real-time information on fuel storage levels, consumption rates, and ensuring accurate and efficient fuel management.

Results:

The results were transformative for ABC Airfield. The consolidation of Internet services streamlined operations, reducing costs and simplifying management. The introduction of guest Wi-Fi not only enhanced the airfield's hospitality but also attracted more business. The dedicated connection for the airfield tenant significantly improved their operational efficiency, showcasing the airfield's commitment to supporting its tenants' unique needs. The implementation of real-time fuel tracking brought a new level of precision to fuel management, minimizing the risk of shortages and optimizing inventory and accountability.

This case study illustrates how a strategic approach to connectivity and technology integration can not only simplify operations but also position an airfield as a technologically advanced and attractive hub for aviation businesses.
