KBAK: Surveillance and employee Internet

KBAK approached Fixed Base Tech after seeing the results with an FBO partner.

Challenge:

KBAK faced the challenge of an outdated camera system that hindered security surveillance and struggled to meet the demands of a modern airport environment. Camera outages were greater than cameras working and the camera system was inaccessible from outside the premise to view. Additionally, there was a growing need to provide seamless Wi-Fi connectivity for maintenance and contractors to enhance communication and efficiency in their day-to-day operations.

Solution:

In collaboration with KBAK, Fixed Base Tech undertook a comprehensive upgrade. The outdated camera system was replaced with state-of-the-art, high-resolution cameras equipped with advanced analytics. Pan, Tilt, and Zoom cameras were added in strategic locations. These cameras were as far as 2000 feet away from the main terminal. Simultaneously, we implemented a robust Wi-Fi infrastructure, strategically designed to cover all key maintenance areas. Maintenance crews now enjoy seamless connectivity, allowing them to access critical data, collaborate efficiently, and enhance their productivity on the field.

Results:

The results of this upgrade were transformative. The airport's security capabilities were elevated to meet the demands of a dynamic environment, providing a safer and more secure atmosphere for passengers and staff. The addition of Wi-Fi for maintenance crews streamlined their workflows, enabling faster response times and more effective communication. Overall, the airport experienced an enhancement in operational efficiency and a notable improvement in the work environment for maintenance personnel.

This case study showcases our commitment to tailoring IT solutions that address the specific needs of airports, ensuring they not only meet industry standards but also adapt to the evolving demands of the aviation landscape.
